Custom stone beyond the kitchen: fireplaces, bars, tables and boats

Because we fabricate in our own shop in Grove, a one-off piece is the same process as a kitchen — template, layout, cut, finish, install. That is what makes the unusual requests possible.

Everything below is work we actually do.

Fireplaces

Hearths, surrounds and mantel shelves in granite, quartzite or marble. A fireplace is often where a bold slab belongs: it is a feature wall rather than a work surface, so movement that would be busy across a kitchen can be exactly right here.

Bars, pool bars and outdoor serving

Indoor wet bars, lakeside bar tops, pool bars and serving ledges. Curves, angles and waterfall ends are all templating and layout problems, which is our normal work.

For exposed outdoor surfaces we start with natural stone, most often granite, chosen for the exposure.

Tables, shelves and sills

Stone tabletops, floating shelves, window sills, thresholds and stair details. Remnant pieces often suit these projects well, which is worth asking about when you visit.

Boat tables and other one-offs

We have fabricated stone tables for boats — a genuinely Grand Lake request. Weight, mounting and edge treatment all get discussed before we cut.

If you have an idea you are not sure is possible, bring a photo or a sketch to the showroom. The answer is often yes, and when it is not, we will tell you why.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Does Stone Restore Solutions make more than countertops?
Yes. We fabricate fireplace hearths and surrounds, bars and pool bars, vanities, tabletops, shelves, window sills and stone tables for boats.
Can a remnant be used for a custom piece?
Often, yes. Remnants suit smaller pieces such as vanities, shelves, hearth pads and tabletops. The selection changes as jobs finish, so remnants are viewed at the shop in Grove.
