Remnants

Remnant stone for smaller projects

Remnants are leftover pieces from projects we have already completed — good stone that is simply smaller than a full slab. They can be an excellent fit for a vanity top, a tabletop or a small custom piece.

Because remnants come from finished jobs, the selection changes constantly. There is no online list to browse; the pieces are here at the shop in Grove.

How to see what is on hand

Come by the showroom at 5500 US-59, Grove, OK 74344 during business hours and check in with a member of our team before viewing or purchasing. Someone will walk back with you, show you what is currently available and talk through whether a piece will actually work for your project.

Please do not treat anything you see here as reserved or guaranteed. Pieces sell, and new ones appear as jobs wrap up, so what is on the rack this week may be gone the next. Calling (918) 786-1075 first is the simplest way to find out whether it is worth the drive that day.

What to have ready

  • Rough length and depth of the surface you need
  • Sink, faucet or cooktop details, if there are any
  • A cabinet door, paint chip or photo of the room
  • Whether the piece needs a matching splash or edge detail

If a remnant will not cover what you have in mind, we will say so and show you full slabs instead — the goal is the right stone for the job, not the smallest one.

Possible uses

Projects a remnant can suit

These are the kinds of projects remnants tend to work well for. What is possible depends entirely on the piece in front of you and its dimensions.

  • Bathroom vanity tops

A single vanity is the most common remnant project we do. One offcut often covers it with material left for a matching splash.

  • Laundry and mudroom counters

A run over the washer and dryer, or a landing surface by the back door, in stone that matches nothing else in the house on purpose.

  • Bar tops and small islands

Basement bars, coffee stations and compact islands where the footprint is small but you want real stone.

  • Tabletops

Dining, side and patio tables, including the boat and pool-side tables we have built from remnant pieces.

  • Fireplace hearths and details

Hearth pads, mantel caps and surround pieces, where a smaller slab is all the job needs.

  • Shelves, ledges and accent pieces

Niche shelves, window sills, plant ledges and one-off custom pieces. Bring the idea and we will tell you if a remnant will cover it.

Before you drive over

What to bring when you visit the rack

None of this is required, but each item makes it far easier for us to tell you quickly whether a piece will work.

  • Rough dimensions

Length and depth of the surface you need, even approximate. It is the fastest way to rule pieces in or out.

  • Photos of the space

A picture of the room, the cabinets and anything the stone has to sit beside.

  • A cabinet door, drawer front or paint sample

Holding the real cabinet colour against the stone tells you more than any photo will.

  • Sink or faucet details

If there is a sink, cooktop or faucet involved, bring the model or a photo so we can check cutouts.

  • Your inspiration

A saved photo, a screenshot, a sketch on the back of an envelope. All of it helps.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

What exactly is a stone remnant?
A remnant is a usable leftover piece of granite, quartz, quartzite or marble from a project we have already completed. Rather than scrap good stone, we keep those pieces at the shop for smaller jobs.
How do I see what remnants you have?
Stop by the showroom at 5500 US-59 in Grove during business hours and check in with a member of our team first — they will walk you back and show you what is currently on hand.
Can you tell me over the phone what is available?
We can give you a general idea, but the selection changes as projects finish and pieces sell, so we cannot promise a specific piece will still be there. Calling ahead is a good way to know whether it is worth the trip that day.
What should I bring?
Rough measurements of the surface you need, sink or cooktop details if there are any, and a cabinet door, paint chip or photo of the room helps us judge the colour match.
Do remnants work for a full kitchen?
Usually not. Remnants suit smaller surfaces; larger kitchens generally need full slabs so the colour and movement stay consistent across the room.
